The great beyond

The great beyond
When I first set out on 30 Days of Handwritten Verse, I wasn’t sure I’d make it all the way through.

The challenge for me wasn’t being able to come up with a new haiku each day. The challenge was making myself let a new one go each day — even on days I wasn’t totally satisfied with the results. It’s day 31, and I’m pleased to have succeeded on that count.

A couple people have commented to me about the project, speaking as if I’d never write another handwritten poem after September ended. Of course, that won’t be the case. I may give myself weekends off from now on, but otherwise I intend to continue.

If you’ve liked the past month of handwritten verse, please feel free to share your thoughts on it. If you haven’t seen them all, please click the tag link at the end of this post to see the archive.

Thanks for reading.
