I almost used “trust” instead of “faith” in this haiku, but then I remembered the distinction.
Trust may include uncertainty, but it’s built on positive experience that leads you to believe you can reasonably expect a particular outcome.
Faith requires uncertainty. Every shred of evidence that an outcome is inevitable diminishes the amount of faith that’s needed or even possible to have.
